Product Review: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and Makeup Remover

Product Review: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and Makeup Remover

Packaging

It comes in a 400 mL bottle, so I would say it’s plenty enough of product for about $6-$9. They also have a 100 mL bottles priced around $3 for those who want to try it first or are on a budget. Depending where you purchase the product will define the price. For example, I bought mine at Ulta and it was about $9. Garnier has made 3 different types of formulas for this line of skincare. Theirs a blue, green, and pink bottle cap to differentiate each formula. The blue bottle cap is the waterproof formula. The green bottle cap is meant for oily skin and the purification of your pores, and the pink bottle is the original formula. I purchased the pink bottle cap because it says it was for all skin types which made it easier for me to give it a go since my you guys all have different skin types. I thought it would of been best.

Formula

This formula was designed to cleanse the skin thoroughly and remove your makeup. Its for all skin types and is good for sensitive skin. It lifts dirt and makeup like a magnet. There is no need to rinse or rub harshly. Using it for eye makeup was so ideal because it took my mascara off easily. Side note: For best eye makeup removal, place pad on eye for a couple of seconds, wipe the makeup off and you will notice that majority of your makeup will be removed. It’s pretty amazing! Use this product, when you wake up to freshen up your skin and in the evening when removing your makeup. I recommend using this cleanser first and then a deep cleanser afterwards, because sometimes skin can still have dirt or oil residue and that can turn into a pimple! We don’t want that, so it’s best to deep cleanse and continue with the rest of your routine.

Fragrance, Color, and Texture

Their absolutely no fragrance, as well as, oil and alcohol on this product. The color and texture is the same as water.

 Overall

This product has changed the makeup remover game. Before this I would use wipes and that would still not be good enough for my stubborn makeup. It has no oils or alcohol, so no acne or dry skin. It’s an amazing formula that I wish I knew what kind of chemistry came together to form such a harmless yet powerful creation. It’s refreshing, it does its job of cleansing so I would give this a high score in my book.
